Back in Americaland mais tu me manques...

It's really too bad I haven't had time to update since April, because now I have no idea how to possibly capture the past month or so in words. Not that I would have been able to anyway...but still, I would have liked to try, because it was amazing, sad, and strange, and the end of the best four and a half months of my life so far. Sounds like you had an amazing time. He's pretty cute!

To your comment about meeting "slightly to very effeminate gay dudes in the US" is that because being gay is different in the US than in France... and thus affect how gay people acted? Like I suppose because being gay in the US is kinda (relatively) controversial, people go 'all out' when expressing their gayness... Yep, I think he's pretty cute too :)
I'm still not sure why it was different in France, could have just been my particular experience. But I swear the guys are either bi and don't feel like they should just pretend to be straight, or they don't feel a need to be closeted because people are more tolerant of other people's private lives. Yeah they much prefer to have people guess their orientation than state it directly.

Oh honey, I grinned the entire time I read this, and cried a little, because I'm so happy for you. And because I miss my boy, but that's beside the point (plus we were never actually dating so it's not really the same thing). I'm so fantastically glad you had such an amazing time, and even though I know it's going to be really hard to be back at GAC, I'm excited that we get to live together (sort of) and listen to amazing music, do crazy drugs, and just generally rock our senior year.

Only four days until I'm off to the woods!

I love reading your journal because studying abroad sounds amazing.
Clément looks all kinds of lovely and I hope both of you stay close, even though you're back in the States.
