Entries in Russian or Armenian, written in Latin script, look silly. So, I’ll switch to English temporarily, until I get a system which supports those alphabets.
I have told #3 million times: “never leave pet food outside, we’ll get rats eventually”. Traditionally she never listens to me, and sure enough, we got rats thriving in the backyard.
Couple of weeks ago one of our sentries (either my dog Klaus or our cat Leah) killed one of these animals and dutifully placed it in front of the door, to make sure I see it and appreciate their work. I’ve scanned it for further scientific research:
Turns out, these species are known here as “roof rats”. Generally, they are harmless, except they leave feces in remote corners of the garage. And that alone can be hazardous. I’ve noticed that recently the cat has been spending too much time hiding by the back entrance of the garage - looks like she’s got the message that it’s time to get to work.
