For the lack of anything to do, I decided to try playing Magic: The Gathering again. In case you don't know what it's all about, Magic: The Gathering is a card game that involves five colors: red, white, blue, black and green. Each color has its own sets of lands, creatures, spells, and enchantments which you can use to beat your opponents. It's been more than a decade since I last played (I was still in high school when I first started) and I didn't have any plans of getting back into it. That is, until my officemates brought their decks to the office. Once I started playing with their cards, the more I wanted to get back and build my own deck. I was able to put the urge on hold for awhile since building your own deck can be a bit pricey. However, that all ended today when I visited the Neutral Grounds stall in Megamall to check on the newly-released M10 Core Set. At first, I just wanted to get one pack. But after checking their singles collection and finding the cards I needed to create the deck I wanted, I ended up buying more than just one pack. So, after spending P630 on single cards (blame it on those damn Serra Angels which cost P60 a pop), I know have my very own customized deck. I've dubbed it the "Life Deck" since it basically allows you to gain life while you destroy your opponents. I'll be testing it tomorrow at the office to see if it does what I hope it would do. Anyway, now that I'm back in the game, I'm expecting to find myself dropping buy shops that sell Magic cards more frequently. Especially when I've started to find more cards online that can help jack up my deck. Good luck to me and my wallet.
