Sweeter (and a whole lot louder) the second time around...

I watched The Dark Knight again last night. This time it was with my mom and we watched it at Shangri-La. We were supposed to watch the 7pm screening but instead ended up watching the 10pm screening because my mom ran into traffic coming from Makati.

Even though I already knew the story going into it, I still couldn't contain my excitement while waiting outside the movie house. At least this time, I got to understand the story better. Some of the assumptions I had when I watched it the first time were proven wrong, but at least it's a bit clear to me now why this happened and why this didn't happen (won't spoil anything). Again, Heath Ledger rocked. Even my mom was impressed by his performance. She couldn't believe that he could pull it off since he really didn't look like an evil clown based on his picture (sans make-up).

Oh, the movie house at Shanri-La Plaza mall rocks. The sounds were way better than when I watched the movie at SM Southmall. That, plus a clearer screen, made me appreciate the movie a whole lot more.

Now that The Dark Knight is upon us (and will probably fly off into the night in a month or two), I'm now starting to wonder what they have in store for us next. Some of the reviews I've read are saying that the studio should end the franchise with this because it might be difficult for a third installment to live up to this movie. Hopefully, they disregard that claim and still pursue developing a third one. I'm just wondering which villain they'll be using next. Will it be Catwoman (rumors again are spreading that it could be her), Clayface, Riddler or even Bane? Hmmm...
