In hindsight, I fully believe that Obama deserved that Peace Prize, considering that the GOP, by my count, wants to do war with Russia, China, Syria, Iran and probably Egypt. And throw in Yemen and Pakistan for good measure. And maybe Indonesia. It's filled with Muslims, you see.
I don't believe that the Nobel Prize Committee (unlike the American voters) had to pick between either Obama or a Republican politician as recipient for that prize.
