The more I think about the Juliet/Ben/Lily/Serena plot (I'm rewatching some season four, and it's totally worth it for Blair and Dan washing dishes together and her bossing him around and him giving her eyes that turn to hearts), the less it makes sense. How exactly does faking a teacher abusing Serena make St Constance want her back?

And isn't this the same girl that got into Yale because it would be great advertising (because, you know, Yale just doesn't get enough applications amirite)? So why wouldn't Constance want her?
