spn 6x12 like a virgin - thoughts

SO FLIST YOU DIDN'T ASK BUT I'M STILL GIVING: MY THOUGHTS ON SPN 6X12: LIKE A VIRGIN. I'm doing SPN first because I have more thoughts on TVD because it's a show with a bigger cast and I have expectations of the show being good and crap.

• SSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
• The whole virgin plot line: I AM GIVING YOU THE SIDE EYE SHOW. SEE WHERE YOU'RE GOING WITH THIS. The handling in the episode wasn't too horrible so kudos I guess? WAIT NO SHOW I REFUSE TO GIVE YOU COOKIES FOR NOT BEING COMPLETELY TERRIBLE.
• ALSO PLZ BE AWESOME MOTHER.
• Sam and Dean's hug did not disapoint! I may actually do a pic spam of the hug. I have lots of thoughts on hugs. I demand more hugs.
• Speaking of hugs. Oh god, the almost hug between Cas and Sam. I DON'T CARE IF YOU FELT GUILTY FOR USING CAS TO GET INFO, YOU SHOULD HAVE HUGGED HIM EITHER WAY!!!!!!!!
• Oh god Sam and Cas. Since Jess is dead, I must put all my shipping energy into them. I love how Cas just went right for the hug. And Sam! Being so happy that Cas is alive. Just his smile. <33 IDK WHEN THEY BECAME SO BFFY BUT I SUPPORT THIS NOTION.
• Speaking of shipping: Dean/Cas. I have never loved their relationship more. AND IT'S NOT JUST BECUASE IT'S ABOUT SAM. IT'S JUST MOSTLY ABOUT IT BEING ALL ABOUT SAM. I just loved all the angry tension here. Dean and Cas have such very different ideas about the best way to deal with Sam. Cas telling him he should have just killed Sam was like a punch in the gut. I love that both of them have points, the show doesn't take sides, and doesn't give us any easy answers here about Sam's soul.
• I LOVE HOW SAM IS LIKE I MUST MAKE IT RIGHT!!!!! I'm actually a little bit more on Dean's side here. I don't think it was sam. But the thing was, people still got hurt and some part of Sam did it and he wants to make it right. And that's like... everything about Sam that I love.
• Sam and Dean's relationship! I love the development here. Dean's on overprotective mode and hahah I cannot blame him. But I love how he listens to Sam and gets where he comes from. He knows why Sam's got to make things right, why Sam needs to know what's been happening. He doesn't like it but he gives in. And god, I love it when he was like NO DON'T HUNT GO WATCH TV and Sam was like OKAY WHAT DID YOU DO WHEN YOU GOT BACK FROM HELL? They're growing up.
• Dean was just so giddy in this episode. It was such a nice change of pace. It was so fun to watch. And it's a testament, again, to how unhealthy their relationship is. Dean too puts too much of everything that he is in Sam.
• SAM PLAYING EMAPTHY. GIVING DEAN A DRESSING DOWN TO STEALING THE GIRL'S DIARY. AND DEAN BEING SO HAPPY THAT HE'S GOT HIS SAM BACK. I just. I felt so much for him here. I've been there. I know what it's like to see a monster in the body of someone you love and then having them back.
• Bobby/Rufus otp. Lol I would totally watch a spin off about them.
• I like what they're doing with Bobby and Sam's relationship. Bobby's skittish, understandably. And Sam, when he learns about why, completely understands. I'm kinda looking forward to development.
• I cannot wait to find out more about how souls work in SPN. They're actually developing it. We've got four different points of view in Bobby, Sam, Cas and Dean and none of them are being telegraphed as right. Character driven plot development. mmmmm. GOOD GOOD WRITING. SHOW KEEP DOING THIS.
• DEAN CALLS SAM A NERD IT MADE MY HEART GLOW.
• Oh god this episode was so so so nerdy. WoW, Hogwarts, Comicon - I can't even remember all the geek references here.
