I haven't posted or commented on this at all because there was nothing I could say to express my rage. I'm a victim of rape and I see everyday how it's treated a joke and it's a punch in gut. This was like someone was stabbing me repeatedly. And, all the while, I knew that the brunt of the pain - in the sense of the conversation and gross profit from this story (this article address profit in full and I'll state I'm glad this family is doing better I know first had how fucked up poverty is) - wasn't even on me. Because I'm white and thus I have a better chance of my story being taken seriously and not made as an Internet meme.
