rant time!
People do realize that if we kick out all the illegals* then our economy would suffer, right? The U.S. massively depends on undocumented laborers so they can pay them next to nothing. Without a doubt, this is fucked up. But we need to focus on fixing the problems that makes this fact true, fix our immigration system (with a large focus on making it much easier for people of color to become citizens), and possibly actually help build economies of poorer nations so they can have autonomy - not so that they depend on the U.S. so much.
YEAH THAT'S A LONG RUNNING PROBLEM RIGHT THERE. I don't have the energy right now, but a rant about U.S.-Latin/South American/Central American relations is coming.
My dad might lose his foot still. I wish there was a better cure for the infection he has.
