Today I got linked to this article which talked about, among other things the ratio of male-female characters in childrens films. Fewer than one out of three (28%) of the speaking characters (both real and animated) are female.

Then I decided to make the last of my God/dess in my story a girl when it was originally going to be ambiguous bringing the count up to five Goddess to three Gods. It made me feel slightly less angry.
