3x13 Waiting in the Wings

• Oh crushing!Wesley. You are so cute.
• Omg Angel likes the ballet.

• Also did people forget the perfect moment of happiness = evil Angel? I'm just sayin'. Can try to be consistent when every other overt love interest was like NO ANGEL SHIPS FOR HE WILL LOSE HIS SOUL.
• NONONONO NO MORE TWO GREAT HEROES COMING TOGETHER. Also: bad writing. Seriously show us the epic Cordy/Angel instead of shoving it on us with the whole great epic heroes stuff plz.

• Okay yenta!Lorne does not happy WR make. I have been buying Angel -> Cordy because they have been showing me the attraction, not shoving it in my face in a rather inconsistent manner with how its developed so far.

• Okay that's enough you can stop it. Gay bff budycops We're not going to be doing something as lame as redoing 'I Only Have Eyes For You'. Because that would be tasteless and make me stop shipping, as that is my favorite Buffy/Angel episode and I am possessive when it comes down to it.
• I was wrong. They're not redoing 'I Only Have Eyes For You' because that episode worked because it worked with Buffy and Angel's characterization, explored what was already in the pairing, and played with something the show would continue to play with past Angel's leaving (the nature of forgiveness.) This is just... um random things not related to Angel/Cordy's relationship at all. WHICH ACTUALLY COULD BE PLAYED RIGHT. It could be all about the lulz, but I don't think that's what its doing.
• omg Lorne you help with the inflicted pain of the dumb Angel/Cordy.
• Oh Gunn thank you for entertaining during my time of pain that comes from bad writing inflicting something I liked.
• YEAH WESLEY WITH A SWORD.
• Fred and Gunn kiss was nice, if not really built up enough. I take rushed over dumb writing though.

• The echo talk with the girl dancer and Angel was actually good. A+

3x14 Couplet

• GUYS DO YOU REMEMBER THE PART WHERE PERFECT HAPPINESS = EVIL ANGEL AND HOW YOU SPENT QUITE A BIT OF TIME MAKING SURE ANGEL GOT NO NOOKIE OR OUTMAKINGS BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS EVIL ANGEL? I'm not saying that means no Angel ship, but I think it's important to take into account the reasons why he left Buffy (and a reason why they all discouraged him to have sex with Darla) if you must write a new relationship. By you know, not encouraging Angel to pursue Cordy under the impression that it's TRUE LURVE.
• Taking that rant into account I'd rather have Angel/Cordy over Cordy/Cordy'sboytoy.
• Wesley looks so sad. :(
• Yes. Forgot sex with boytoy Cordy and have comfort sex with Wesley and then buddycop sex with Angel. SEE MY WAY IS MUCH MORE ENTERTAINING.

• Oh god Wesley goes to the Doctor with Angel and Connor. THE GAY KEEPS COMING.

• Angel the overworried Dad = win.
• OKAY WESLEY NEEDS TO STOP LOOKING SO SAD. Maybe holding Connor will make him smile again? Er the impending death of the child aside?

• Also Holtz is good for bringing dramatic tension and complicated questions. But he's still boring.

  Aubrey and the others spin around to see Wesley standing in the doorway behind them.
  Wes: "I would have found you eventually."
  YES.
• Wes: "Or perhaps you could lie on the floor and gag for a while. (Glances around at the rest of the group) I didn't come here to fight. I'm not your enemy. - But then I've noticed you do have trouble making that distinction. You're fighting the wrong man." THAT WAS BOTH HOT AND DELIGHTFUL.
• Wes: "If it's a sacrifice you require, take me. Angel's no more responsible for the crimes of Angelus than I am." HI YES THANK YOU JOSS.
• Wes: "Hmm. Not sure really. Could be the low scary voice that's giving me trouble." YES YES YES
• Wes: "Look. I can't know what it's been like for any of you." AND Holtz: "When I put my son's body into the ground, I had to open the coffin, just to know that he really was in there. You also may discover - that a child's coffin, Mr. Wyndham-Pryce - it weighs nothing." Wes stands there, not saying a word.

• Gunn: "Look. Lets try not to worry too much. Wesley is a good man."
  We see Wes walk down the upstairs hallway in the Hyperion.
  Gunn voice over: "He'll do the right thing. He always does."

• Angel: "How I really knew about Aubrey. - All that pain, that rage... the only way she could deal was to join Holtz, take her revenge. - You know how I knew that?"
  Wes walks over to him.
  Wes: "Because you would have done the same."
  Wes sits down on the edge of the bed.
  Angel: "It scares me. - You know? - If anything like that ever happened to Connor, I don't know what I'd... (Angel looks down at the laundry he's holding) I love my son."
  
  So I no longer ship this as a mostly onesided thing. lakfjaoeijdl
• Wes: "Love can be a terrible thing."
  Angel: "I used to think that. I thought love was - something that swallowed you whole, ripped you up inside, but, you know, what I feel for Connor, even that fear... - Wes, it's - it's not terrible. (Sighs and looks down) It's beautiful."
  THE SHOW WANTS ME TO SHIP THEM. AND TO LOVE WESLEY MORE.
• Wes: "Life. Life is funny. Listening to stupid people talking to hamburgers is funny. Worrying about things that will never... - It's all so incredibly funny and - and beautiful."
  Angel is drying off the bottle as a second, harder earthquake hits. Pots and pans fall out of the cupboards.

3x16 Sleep Tight

• Angel: "You pick 'em up when they fuss. (Leans down to pick Connor up) Daddy's here."
  Wes: "Sorry. I don't know what I was... I didn't sleep very well."
  Angel: "Yeah, and you look like hell. Not the fun one, where they burn you with hot pokers for all eternity, but the hardcore one, you know, Nixon and Brittany Spears?"
  OH SHOW.
• "He's just... English." LJASDFOIEALKSD.
• SO I'M HAPPY. Angel is all cute!daddy, Fred and Gunn are killing me with adorable phone-talking fluff, and Wesley is torturing himself because he's too stupid to, you know, TALK to his friends. &HEARTS;
• Wes: "You lost family. I'm sorry. (Steps closer to Justine) Angel and the people I work with are *my* family - and when I say I don't want to see anyone to get hurt..."
  He grabs a hold of Justine's knife hand and twists her around against him, grabbing her throat with his other hand.
  Wes: "...I mostly mean them." Go ahead Wes. Just keep hitting my character kinks hard plz.
• Holtz mindfucking Wesley makes me like him some.
• I'm getting the hint show. Why is Angel drinking so much?
• Angel: "Gosh, no, Lorne, everything's just great! (Connor is starting to fuss) I got a kid that cries, pees and moans, and never gives me a moment to myself." Okay show. There had better be a reason behind this, and not just Angel going evil for the sake of moving the plot where you want. Because that would be cheap.
• Okay the 'what's wrong with me' eases my fears some.
• Wes: "You're a soldier, fight to the death kind. I respect that. You work for a man, who you think is noble and good. I respect that. Trouble is, he's not."
  Justine: "You work with a vampire."
  Wes turns to face her: "Who in fact *is* noble and good. Quirky, but there it is. Holtz talks about 'justice' and it's stirring, but what he wants is revenge. He's driven by it, blinded by it, and if you, me, or anyone else gets in his way, he'll kill for it."
  Yep. Doing it just right.
• Justine: "What you're about to do to your friend? I imagine it's easier to hate Holtz than yourself."
  Wes: "There's enough to go around for both him and me. - Be careful."
  I will someday write up all the character kinks Wes hits for me.
• Okay I gotta respect that. Making Angel drink Connor's blood was evil and good TV.
• Growly!Angel out to be very very unkind to Lilah is what I call entertainment.
• Lilah: "It's a survival thing. I made a lot of devil's bargains and I stuck to them. As a result, I live somewhat dangerously, and *quiet* comfortably. My mother, who no longer recognizes me, has the best room at the clinic. I get up every morning, put on my game face and do what I have to." Okay that's enough. I like her a lot right now.
• Lilah: "Wow. We've spent so much time and money on you. You're so pivotal to the coming cataclysm, that I sometimes forget how dense you can be. The game face - the one I worked so hard to get - I became that *years* ago. Just like you've become simpering and good from yours. You're the new poster boy for human. Thank you very much. • Angel: "Sworn enemy? Really? Have we met? Because I don't remember swearing." ilu Angel.
• I'm going to write a crazy au where Wesley doesn't do something stupid like sing in front of Lorne and in which Angel doesn't show up so quickly and he keeps to his plan to kidnap Connor and raise him. *WAITS TO PLOT THAT FOR LATER.*
• I have a feeling no one knowing why Sahjhan is so angry at Angel will play an important part later.
• Dig the Gunn&Angel tension.
• Don't have a lot to say on the end with Connor being taken by Hotlz, but I liked it a lot.

3x17 Forgiving

• "You tell me to quit trying." omg I love Fred.
• Oh Fred thinking about how horrible it was for Connor to go through a portal was good stuff.
• Okay not calling Cordy not to ruin her holiday? That's stretching it so much, show. To the point I call OOC.
• Angel: "She'll be back soon. And when she does she'll have presents, for Connor. - - And he's gonna be here so she can give them to him, okay?" Never mind. Oh Angel.
• Also sometimes the believability of Angel sometimes makes me raise my eyebrows because this is the sort of thing calling the Slayer and her crazy powerful witch and watcher who would know probably even more than Wesley would be for. I get the reasons behind it seeing as they're on different networks and how Angel should be able to stand on its own. But still.
  
  And no. I can't believe the pain of seeing Buffy would outweigh saving Connor's life. And not just because Connor >>>>>>>> Buffy in Angel's heart.

• Fred, don't think that forgiveness is something in Angel's vocab right now.
