anime "updates"
The series I'm watching so far this season are:
* Love Stage!!
* DRAMAtical Murder
* Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus
and * Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
I may pick up "Aldnoah Zero" and/or "Tokyo Ghoul", but I haven't been able to make it through the first episode of either yet.
I've only seen the first 2 episodes of "Love Stage!!", but I hope that the series manages to have some sort of story line in the final 8 episodes. I'm curious to see if it'll cross over with "Back Stage".
"DRAMAtical Murder" has been disappointing so far. Episode 3 dragged on and had almost zero plot progression. It's reminding me of Togainu no Chi/"Bloody Curs", which is NOT a good thing.
"Book of Circus" has been a disappointment compared to my (admittedly high) expectations. Episode 1 seemed to be mostly ripped from another section of the manga... though I may be wrong (because I haven't gone back to re-read it in years). IIRC, Ciel originally obtained the tickets at the end of the "curry arc".
The animation seems to be lower quality than the other series (and OVAs), but I haven't rewatched the series, either.
"Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun" is my favorite series this season. I'm not much for the shoujo genre (the closest I come is BL, with its annoyingly cliched "what am I thinking? we're both guys!" inner struggles), but this series is both laugh out loud hilarious (...to me, at least) and even cute.
