Office Tours
Lorne left the office and then it was just Cordelia and I. We stood in there a minute or so until I suggested taking her around the office so she could be able to find her way around better. She agreed and we finally stepped out of the office. We made our way a bit around the lobby area at first. I thought about taking her to see if I had a secretary yet. Wesley said he'd take care of that responsibility and I was glad that he did. Interviewing for a secretary wasn't something I was looking forward to at all.
We passed the desk where she'd sit, but no one was there. Either she was taking a 'break' that she shouldn't be or Wesley hadn't hired one yet. Hopefully, it was the latter because if she was taking a break already and I hadn't even met her? Well, let's just hope that I don't have to force Wesley to find a replacement on the first day.
To say that this little tour was awkward didn't come close to how I started to feel. Things were so much different than the last time I'd seen her. Well, the last time I'd really seen her and not some thing that was controlling her body and actions. I'd talked with Buffy earlier and things had been awkward at first then too. And now.. Cordy was alive and walking with me around the office. This day was turning out to be a lot different than I thought it would. Despite the awkwardness I was feeling, there was also the fact I was happy that Cordy was awake again. She was back to her old self.
For now, that made the whole ordeal worth while.
I initially thought today wouldn't be one I would ever want to remember. Taking over this place.. there had been two reasons and two reasons only that I'd decided to take Lilah's offer. One was walking next to me and the other was safe in a house miles away from the city not remembering anything about who I was.
After we'd walked around downstairs and I wondered where to go next. I'd hoped to find Wesley, Fred, or Gunn and have them see Cordelia again. They'd want to see her and I'm sure that Cordy would want to see them again. We walked over towards the elevator and intended on going upstairs to see if anyone else was in their office.
"So.. what do you think so far?" Wasn't the best question to ask her, but that's the only thing that came to mind.
