On translating and its magic

No, this is not very much related to HP, but it might be related to magic:
If you let http://translate.google.com/ translate "sarkozy sarkozy sarkozy" from French to English, as of now it renders it by "Blair defends Bush". "sarkozy sarkozy sarkozy" gets "Kassel kassel kassel" if you let it translate French to German. The other way round the results are as you'd probably have expected them.
French to German and English to German "Hermione" is rendered by "Hermine". However: it seems to be context sensitive: "Hermione" remains "Hermione" when you ask the same robot to translate
