sick

So you might have heard that I've been sick. About....a little over a week ago, I got sick at work so they sent me home early. I called in the next day(thursday), then went to work the day after (friday.) Then I had two says off (weekend.) I went to work monday, got sick monday night around 5:30, then called in on tueday. Tuesday was spent in the bathroom, bonding with my toilet. Wednesday I went to work, and felt shitty all day, then around 3-ish I begged to go home because they had enough coverage for the next shift. They let me go home at 3:30. I took the elevator down, and puked all over right in front of the office. Helen, the director of nursing (my big boss) told me to go to the ER. So when my mom picked me up, I told her what Helen said, and she took me to the ER.

At the wonderful emergency room, I got an I.V. in my room, and I had two bags of I.V. fluid pumped into my arm. They told me to eat clear liquids when I went home. And they gave me until friday off. I called in yesterday (saturday) because I still wasnt keeping anything down except for ginger ale. So my mom called my uncle who is a nurse in a dr.s office. My uncle called back and said "hey, the doctor filled out a perscription for you, anti-nausea stuff, go get it." So my mom did, and I took one at 1:30, and one at 10.

Today, I went to work because I'm sick of my house, and sick of Cameron.I was fine when I got there, but I noticed that my eyes werent focusing on anything. I told one of the nurses and she said that it was fine, it was just because of the brightness in the nursing home. (None of the windows have blinds or anything.) I asked one of the other nurses if it could be a cause of medicine. She said no. It makes me very scared for the residents who depend on her. I went about doing my job until 3:30 when I went on my lunch break, my eyes just got worse. The cook, MJ was in the break room with me, and paged the supervisior to come down and check me out, cuz I didnt look good. I didnt have a temp, and my blood pressure. It was fine, but I guess I looked pitiful enough for them to send me home. My mom picked me up and my eyes kept rolling all over the place.

After I got home, and tried to sleep, my mom showed my dad how I was acting and he said to take me to the ER. So she did. They asked if I was on any new meds, and I showed them what it was cuz my mom had it in her pocket. They told me I was having a reaction to the new meds. They gave me benadryl to get rid of the symptoms. And then a shot in the arm an hour later. Here is what the pamphlet that came with the drugs that made me sick said:

Possible side effects: CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF you expercience changes in vision, changes in breathing, changes in mestrual period, prolonged or painful erection, sore throat, inability to move eyes, muscle spasms of face, neck, or back, difficulty swallowing, mask like face, tremors of the hands, restlessness, tension in legs, shuffling walk or still arms or legs, puffing of cheeks, lips smacking or puckering, twitching, or weakness in arms or legs.. And I had everything that is bolded.

Yea! I'm so sexy!!

Anyway...I feel better now, even though I'm still on a clear liquid diet. Jello, chicken broth, ginger ale and if I feel really good, I can have rice, toast,or bananas.

The best part of all this....1) I lost about 5 pounds already and 2) My rats are incredibly sweet. When I come home early, or when I get up in the middle of the night to be sick, they jump up and down, and stare at me with sympathy in their little beedy eyes. Tater and Tot love me.
