ILLUSIONS
I see her dancing
feet light upon the earth
their gentle grace
fluttering just beyond the realms of physics
and I consider a god.
I hear her voice
melancholy, resonant
its subtle strength
tresspassing on the beaches of my emotion
and I consider a god.
I watch her eyes
deep and enchanting: enticing
but a hollowness envelopes
chills my core, steams my flesh
and I consider a god.
I touch her hand
thirsty, desolate deserts
cracked, raw and craving
talons pierce my being, pull me under, seduce my senses
I'm flirting with the devil.
