Character: Nina Wyndia
Fandom: Breath of Fire 2
Personality: Nina is a polite and refined young woman, surrounded by a elegant regal air even though it's been years since she's been considered royalty. While at first she may seem rather distant and almost aloof with others, mostly because her black wings were supposed to omen of doom in her kingdom and she found it easier to distance herself from everyone. However, she's very kind and warm to those she considers friends, standing up to protect them and even willing to sacrifice herself for those who are close to her, such as giving herself up to a local gang when they take her sister hostage For those who arouse her anger, she becomes absolutely cold and merciless, striking back at them with no mercy - such as when her sister was rescued, there was no hesitation on her part on striking down the gang leader with several thunder spells

History: Nina was born as the eldest princess of Wyndia, the town of the Wing Clan. As to be expected, she lived a rather pleasant and carefree childhood in the castle with her younger sister, Mina, until she reached the age where all Fae children grew their wings. To her parents' horror, Nina's wings were not the usual white but instead black. It was said that if black-winged children born in the royal family, a great doom would occur, and so such children were usually put to death. However, her parents hushed up those who were aware of Nina's black wings, and told their kingdom Nina had died. In actuality, they had sent her to far-off HomeTown, where she was to study magic at the school located there

Returning back to the castle and her group, Nina decided to hold off having the ceremony until the next day. However, during the middle of the night, she awoke to find the Mark missing. Realizing that only one other person could have taken the Mark, Mina; she chased her sister all the way to the tower where the ceremony was to be held but arrived there too late. Mina had already entered and sealed the doors, which would not open until the ceremony was complete, ignoring Nina's pleas to not undergo the ceremony. Stating that Ryu and everyone else still needed Nina as she is and promising that she'd never forget Nina, even as the Great Bird, Mina activated the Mark of the Wing and transformed into the Great Bird. Now finally able to enter the room, Nina vowed to not let her sister's sacrifice go to waste and that they would defeat St. Eva and his followers

Sample log entry: Nina had asked her friends for a moment to be left alone, just her and the sleeping dragon that had been Ryu moments before. They’d filed away, although several of them paused, hesitating as if wanting to say something to her, but Nina simply shook her head. Getting the hint, they moved on, leaving her alone with the sleeping dragon under the sunny afternoon sky.

She felt anything but sunny at this moment, staring up at the massive dragon. Her vision begin to blur as she felt the tears rising to her eyes, collapsing to the ground on her knees, her shoulders shaking as she sobs silently into her hands. "Ryu..." she whispers out loud, "why did you leave me behind too? Why?" First Mina, now Ryu - would the rest of her friends leave her behind too, one by one, while she could only stand on by and watch helplessly?

With her hands covering her face, Nina doesn’t notice when her surroundings begin to shift, the giant sleeping dragon and beautiful sunny afternoon fading away and
