Personality:
Xigbar comes across as relaxed but tends to make snide remarks, usually at Sora’s expense. Nothing seems to be able to make him talk in a serious manner. When the Organization meets Sora, he remains behind to mock him. When challenging Sora towards the end of the game, which is probably the closest to being serious he gets, he makes snide remarks towards the hero (“Have you been a good boy?” and “Man, did it pick a dud this time”). During battle, which is to the death, like all of the Organization battles in the second half of the game, his demeanor seems to indicate that he doesn’t view the fight as a big deal or something he needs to be serious about. Even after defeat, with death in his immediate future, he still maintains this attitude, answering Sora’s question with a seemingly sarcastic “Wouldn’t you like to know?” before disappearing.
This lack of caring does not necessarily mean that Xigbar doesn’t take his missions seriously, just that he doesn’t act seriously. During the encounter in the World That Never Was, he does appear to be trying to defeat Sora judging by his actions, despite his words sounding like he’s merely playing around with the Keyblade wielder.

Xigbar was originally Braig, one of six apprentices to Ansem the Wise. The apprentices used a number of subjects to research the darkness within a person’s heart until Ansem the Wise ordered them to stop. Braig and the others, lead by Xehanort continued their work against his wishes and ended up losing their hearts and becoming Nobodies. Braig became Xigbar. These Nobodies would serve as the initial six members of Organization XIII.
The Organization would show up in Kingdom Hearts II during Sora’s first visit to Hollow Bastion. After laughing at Sora, the rest of the Organization leaves, with Xigbar staying behind to poke fun at him. He would appear again in the Land of Dragons, attempting to set the Storm Rider loose on the Imperial Palace and the accompanying city, but Sora would thwart this plan. He would appear one last time, towards the end of Sora’s adventure in the World That Never Was. After taunting Sora yet again, they battled, with Sora winning and Xigbar disappearing into darkness like the other defeated members (This would be the point where he’d be taken from).

The residents of the town were probably still asleep, he thought, as he stared at the location from outside the city’s limits. His orders from the Superior were simple, visit the world, use some Heartless to stir up trouble in the city and collect hearts, and then leave the mess behind for Sora to clean up before heading back. “Too easy,” said shrugging his shoulders, a grin hidden beneath the hood of his cloak. “Though it’s a real shame I have to leave after setting up. I’d totally love to see Roxas or Sora or whatever he’s calling himself try to deal with this mess.” I mean really, he thought, the kid came across as a gigantic dope back in Hollow Bastion. The Keyblade must’ve been scraping the bottom of the barrel when it selected its current wielder. He laughed at his thoughts before turning his attention back to the city before him.
“You know, if I had a heart, I’d totally feel bad for you dudes and dudettes, but I don’t.” The Nobody drummed his gloved fingers against the sides of his coat anxiously. He was all ready to carry out his orders, but it was too early. “You guys are so lucky,” he called out to no one in particular, “the Superior doesn’t want me this job early. Good for you. You should totally take advantage of it.” He clapped his hands, applauding the town’s apparent luck. He ceased applauding and shook his head before speaking again, “Not that any of you can even hear me over there.”
Sample journal entry:
I have no idea where I am! One minute I’m dying and the next, I’m in this totally weird place. Did I mention I don’t seem to be dying or dead now? The castle’s here, but I’m pretty sure this place isn’t The World That Never Was. If it is, the Superior totally did some heavy remodeling while I wasn’t looking. Now that I think about it, if the castle’s here, maybe the other members are here too? I think I’ll go see if they can fill me in on wherever this place is.
Uh, just a quick note: If I'm accepted, I can't start playing until I get back from vacation. Is that okay? If not, I understand.
