Okay, so I haven't commented on Palin yet or Obama's acceptance speech, which I know is very unlike me ( Read more... )

Palin doesn't even believe in abortion if it is to save the mother's life. Another friend who is the mother of two mentioned that it was great to know that her two kids didn't need their mommy in Palin's eyes.

And I LOVE how Palin is pro-life and then took risks with Trig's health- flying at 36 weeks to attend a conference, flying back after her water broke and then driving 45 minutes once arriving. And then going back to work THREE days later? Seriously, she could have taken a week off...Unless parents can't afford it, I believe both parents should take a little time off. She probably would have gone back the next day, but you know there's that whole hospitalization thing...

Yeahhhh.. All in all, I just don't get how anyone could support Hillary (unless they were ONLY supporting her because she was a woman) and then Palin, Palin is an extremist moron with poor decision making skills.

Course the latter DOES match her up very well with McCain.

A few of your points aren't entirely correct. She does not think creationism should be taught as course material, but would like for discussion to not be stifled if it comes up in classrooms. She is on record as saying she will not support the implementation of and faith-based curriculum, and has kept that promise for the years she's been in office.

She also does have some international expeience if you consider trade and production deals with Canada to be international. She got a $27 billion dollar natural gas pipeline-"the largest public project in the history of our country"-that had been held up for 30 years underway by giving the contract to Canadians. Against the objections of the oil companies and Republicans ( ... )

Thanks for the clarification of her take on creationism, I actually have no problem with discussing both, I just have a HUGE issue with teaching both, so it's good to hear that she is not supporting faith based curriculum, that scare same a bit less.

Working with Canada *is* international experience (redhotlips would kill me if I joked that was really more of an interstate commerce issue ;)), but nowhere near the level of international experience required for juggling Russia, Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and potentially Iran. Does it raise it from the 0 I gave her above, yeah, but not in the way that makes me likely to be impressed. At least Obama knows where those places are on the map has been to a number of them, and been on the senate floor for discussions of what is happening in them ( ... )

This just goed to show you what I get for just reading headlines; I was exicted for a minute because I thought McCain had picked Michael Palin. Never mind then....

Woulda been funny to see Eric Idle as Sec. of State though....

Is it possible that he is a dumb visionary with no common sense, yeah, there is.

I've been saying for 2 years now that after the Bush Reign 'o Duh, the Dems could have run Corky from 'Life Goes On' paired with Manson....Marilyn or Charles, your pick....and I'd have voted Democratic.

Yeahhh, anyone I know with half a brain is saying much the same.

I can't understand allowing another 4 years of his failed policies.

hay lady, would you have a huge problem with me reporting on this entry?
I have an English assignment and an amazing teacher who okayed blogs. (We have to pick something and rant on slant. Because you're opinionated, this is definitely slant.)

:P Hmph, my opinion is biased, but as I continue looking, her stances on things stand pretty solidly... I just happen to think those things are bad... ;) But yeah, go right ahead, just remember, this is NOT journalism, this is ranting, so do not approach this the same way you would a front page story on the New York Times.. ;)

Just do me a favor and don't let grandma find out where you got the blog post from me (what it says is fine if it comes up)? I'm pretty open about my life, but I don't need her reading the profile on this. lol My Dad knows about this journal, but yeah. lol :) Grandma doesn't need to.. lol :)

(Don't worry about it, I know it's totally not journalism. The whole point is that it's very different. She wants us reading things we want to read.)
And trust me, Gramma probably won't even see this. Don't worry about it. ^_~

:D I figured you knew, I just feel guilty that I"m being used as a sample of biased writing.. I mean, obviously my opinion on her stances means it is biased, unbiased would mean I had no opinion, but... It still makes that little part of me that used to write for my schools newspaper twitch.. lol ;)

Cool. thanks. :)
