At first I wasn't quite sure what to do with myself.. but now, after a few weeks of basically being a bum, I've fallen into something of a routine. I am quite comfortable with it, and on some level, even happy about it.
I've been doing way more of the following than I usual do:
sleeping
eating
flossing
going to the library
fucking around online
talking on the phone
reading
watching tv/movies
stalking people via facebook/livejournal (yeah, because this is different than plain old fucking around online)
talking to/seeing my mom
and enough eating that I should mention it twice
Needless to say, I've also gained about 8 lbs from spending all this time sitting on my ass and stuffing my face.
Oh well, I'll be back to working 60 hours a week again soon, and so I'll have less time to eat.
And I'm hoping that my pain levels will continue to fall so I'll be a little more inclined to get up and do something. I was happy to get up & go to the Chicago History Museum yesterday, unmedicated, I might add, but after two or so hours of walking around, I was experiencing some very intense pain.
I took that passport back to the library today and exchanged it for the Contemporary Art Museum's, which I plan to check out (again) next week. I'm happy about that.
I'm also happy that for whatever reason, I've felt like posting regularly and might stick with this for a bit.. and I've even started back up with fitday (funny - I first typed it as "fatday).
I was also just tickled to learn of the Chicago 08 NO PANTS campaign (
http://luc.facebook.com/event.php?eid=7305043026) that I would LOVE to attend.. but sadly, I'll be slaving away at Sherman.
Oh, and the kiddo was a total doll today. She slept for half the time I was there.. again! Love it! The rest of the time, we fed plastic food to her stuffed monkeys and played "now you see it, now you don't" with her feet.
