my week

i decided to make another post.
last weekend was pretty fun. thursday i went for a nice surf sesh (yes thursday is the weekend to me). then friday night i went to a beach bbq at pismo. i had a lot of fun. a couple of guys who were in the group but i didnt know were using their truck and a rope to pull each other on a skimboard up and down the beach. it looked soooo fun. but alas, i didnt bring a swimsuit or a towel. i was "this" close to just going and trying it in my underwear. unfortunately for me i didnt. oh well, hopefully ill get to try that sometime before i die.
the rest of the weekend was actually pretty crappy. saturday i spent about 8 hours studying and doing homework. sunday wasnt much better. oh but i did buy a waterproof digital camera. should be fun. i need to take pictures of things. everyone has pictures of all they do; all i have are my memories. one day when they look back theyll have all these pictures to talk about and remember. it will seem like i never did anything. but thats what the digital camera is for.
monday and tuesday there were these huge anti-abortion displays on campus. some of those pictures were...awful. aported fetus' in the first and second trimester ans stuff. i dont think ive ever seen more sad and depressing pictures. near one of the displays, a bunch of clubs made posters saying how "cal poly womens center supports a womans right to choose" "cal poly greens support a womans right to choose" "cal poly democrats support a womans right to choose" and so on, as their own little counter-display. but someone put up a poster at the end that said "right to choose WHAT?" either the person had no idea what was going on or they make a very good point. i think all too often when people are talking about how they support abortion, they are too caught up in how we live in america and you should have the right to do as you please and no one can make descions for you. the actual act of that choice and its consequences are completely lost (purposefully or unpurposefully) with some people i think. anyways, i thought it was a good question for everyone to ask themselves. thats my two cents for the hot topic of today.
this weekend i go to santa cruz. obviously looking forward to that. a break before hitting the books hard again for finals will be very nice and is very needed. im at that point in the year where i dont want to do anything, and i do just enough homework/studying each day to get by until the next. its starting to pile up, but its going to have to wait until next week.
i believe thats all.
