man, it's august already...
well, it's been a very busy month.
Went to Vegas at the beginning of the hiatus for Psych - took off with my friend Kaliya, and we saw a couple of shows (O and Blue Man Group), did a BUNCH of shopping, and had a nice time.
too short.
Then spent the rest of the month helping the Dr. Peter Centre put their pride float together, and building my pride parade costume.
Really happy with how the costume turned out - and so was the public evidently LOL ...made it on the news yet again. I want to wear it again, but will have to find a place with reasonable room for the panniers.
I was SOOOO pissed at the nitwit with the supersoaker who squirted me full on in the chest and unstuck my right pastie. Had to spend half the parade desperately trying to keep it in place. Thanks dumbass for wetting down a thousand dollar costume. *grr*
Just finished my last day on Psych - shooting at a gorgeous mansion in Shaugnessy. i'm really going to miss everyone. Got hugs from some of the cast when they found out it was my last day :)
Start on Fantastic Four on monday.... yay!
The weather is really grey today... as is my mood. I'm feeling pretty wistful about having left the show, although it was awesome to leave on such a good note.
Got a copy of some vintage burlesque performances to study. Still hoping for more acceptance from the local burlesque community... not sure if it's that i'm too old, or too overweight. (maybe i'm just too wierd)
Once i've got another performance booked i'm going to order the giant fans i've been eyeing, and work up a new routine.
