Well I figured there has been a substantial amount of time since I last updated. It's amazing how things change. I am back at school, not a student but an Area Coordinator. I've come to learn that this job is a combination of head RA, secretary and mom. The funny thing about my job is I love it. This is funny because I just spent several years and several upon several thousands of dollars to earn my degrees and these days I only use them to correct and edit Scuba's papers. For some odd reason, I am happy. I completely give credit to my staff and my friends. They are all amazing.
I am old now. Enough said.
One thing that DC has that NC definitely does not is Ikea. I heart Ikea big time and my big blue chair. Now only if the rest of my furniture would get here...
Kierstan and Jeff's wedding is only a few days away (ok more like a few weeks) but I am so excited. I miss Kier something fierce. It will be great to be in Jacksonville (hopefully sans hurricanes) and be on the beach and getting all dressed up for the big day. I like my dress and I hope others do as well. Yay Kris for being so great and helping me with the dress fun!
I am currently in love with Marc Broussard. He sings happy, sappy songs with lyrics that most girls would swoon all over if a real boy spoke them. Below are the lyrics for the song I am currently obsessed with.
Where you are
Your skin is like the moonlight
Dancing in the midnight
Your touch is sweet as candy
Your kisses they taste so fine, so fine
and I want to love you better
You don't have to be alone
I want to let you know forever's waiting right here at home
[Chorus]
And I want to be where you are
Come on take all I've got
I want you to know just how I feel
I've loved you from the start
I want to be where you are
Girl you know how to move me
Making me believe, believe
You blind a man with beauty
Love will make him see
I can see
And I want to love you better
And nowhere is too far
I want to let you know forever is right here in my heart
[Chorus]
I've stood alone in New York City
I've watched the sunset in L.A.
I ride for miles and miles and end up getting nowhere
But I've never felt this way
Never felt this way
Never felt this way
And I want to be where you are come on take all I've got
I want you to know just how I feel
I've loved you from the start
I've stood alone in New York City
I've watched the sunset in L.A.
I ride for miles and miles and end up getting nowhere
But I've never felt this way
Yeah, I'm a fan. And then there is this other one called "Gavin's Song". Love it.
