(no subject)
The stupidity of New Yorkers continues to astound me:
I couldn't remember where the church I had to go to was. So I call 411.
Me: Is there any churches around 83rd between 2nd and 3rd?
Operator: Nothing's coming up.
Me: Okay....how about anywhere between 77th and 86th between 2nd and 3rd?
Operator: Still nothing.
Me: Between 86th and 93rd?
Opertator: Well there's the Harlem Church in..::gives some address in Harlem::
Me: That's definately not it....thanks anyway bye.
Then I go into a video store on 84th and ask there. One guy asks another guy, who askes a boy, who asks another man before the first guy I asked remembers theres a church on 83rd between 2nd and 3rd.
The same corner I was standing on when I called 411. ...Lovely.
Today was gorgeous. So after my classes I went to the park with Diane and Anthony. On my way home I bought a pussywillow stem. That made my day. =]
