My internet has been off for a good long while, a needed break. But school has started, so it has to go back on. This semester is sure to be a crazy one: I am finishing up my gen eds (religion), and diving into my subject courses with inferential methods (applied statistics, I think? Something like that), which is sure to be a pain in my ass, plus a learning & behavior class (okay, I can stand a little behaviorism, this one looks interesting enough), and a developmental psych class which I intend to rock the hell out of, and a poetry writing class, which I am thrilled about. I sat down and wrote last night! It is about turkey vultures and it's coming along nicely.
I have three 8 am classes, plus I'm still working 25-30 hours a week (still dead broke, though, and in a panic about that), and I'm already really tired and have a mountain of reading, which is why I'm on here. Anyway, it's all okay--the busier I am, the better I do.
Started going to a Jesuit church in Old City--what beautiful services! Plus the inside is yellow and peach.
My cat's owner emailed me, but I don't think I can give the cat back in good conscience: she said, "She was an outdoor cat during the summer and I assumed another family was taking care of her because she looked well-fed. I think her collar fell off. I sort of wanted her back because I'm concerned about her in this weather." Uh, really? You think you might have posted an ad in the neighborhood where you live, or written me three snowstorms ago. Sorry, your cat is better off with me, getting regular meals and not having to run around the dirty streets all day and night.
That's all, better save my eyes for all the cursed online reading assigned to me tonight.
