Dipping my hand in the public till

I flipped on Desperately Seeking Susan a few days ago because I really wanted to see the scenes featuring Love Saves the Day. I had been wanting to do that ever since I went to NYC earlier this year. It seems like in the movie it was more centered on vintage clothing, but hey, they could've changed it just for filming. Plus, that was 23 years ago, so who knows? Maybe they started with vintage clothing and worked their way up to other vintage goods like magazines, records, toys, etc.
Anyway, it just made me think of what a fantastic time I had, the last time I went to NYC. It was my best trip there yet with the best people! I aslo had the best reason for going this time around too! (Yay for hanging out with my guru AND getting it on tape!)
I've been doing some neat things and I have TONS of things to sell. (Everyday, it seems like I think of a few more! HAHA)Halloween was funny, especially at 2 AM. Saw a lot of goofballs in cheap costumes. Nothing terribly clever though. Speaking of costumes, I'm very pleased with my choices for 2009 cons. I'm SO glad that I decided never to do that dogged-out Sailor moon again. Those costumes were nothing but aggravation. My first time with them turned out to be my last! HAHA I knew there was a reason that it took me so long to finally do one- I'm so sick of that anime!
Oh I guess I should comment on the Phillies win. I'm all for taking it back to '80, but I have to go with a quote I heard over the weekend:
"On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series in 5 games, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball's annual contest to determine whose city will be set on fire by drunks."

Yeah baby!
