News of the strikingly absurd!
Well it may be just me, but I do beleive others will agree with me when I have this to say on the account of 3 different DVD players. A Playstation 2, a JVC unit, and one made by Samsung. Through various chance viewing of movies on each player and a final culmination of me actually checking of what will play on each, I have this to say. On ALL of the players the parental setting must be changed to level 3 by use of password in order to watch either the Incredibles or Atlantis: the Lost Empire. While this is all fine and good considering both are rated PG and you could possibly give some bullshit about parents who actually care what their kids watch, there is something bugging me. All three will play the porno DVD Asians: Unleashed AND Custom Slave: Sayoko's Chapter without so much as a friggin' peep from the parental "do your watchdogging for you so you don't have worry about what your kids are watching yourself you lazy fucker" chip. And technology marches on, right alongside the V-chip nobody uses and the AOL parental controls nobody gives a shit about.
