it was within a night
i fell a million miles beneath me
without ever hitting earth's core

caught in a whirlpool standing still
i steadied myself by catching your eyes
you were waiting with the sky wide open,
space was only a finger stretch away.

you were my dreams reflected.
i surrendered to the surreal blue reality
and in a heartbeat's race i was surrounded.

unable to sever whole into half again:

you became life pumping furiously through my veins,
and the air flowing through my lungs.
the inches of connected flesh could not be divided
between you and me.

you momentarily closed your eyes,
probably to shut out the spinning floor,
rotating like a disco ball

(my mind was the bouncing light
splashing chaos onto the walls).

only then,
in an earth's second i realized
the room was red sea crowded;

it parted for an invincible entity

known as us.
