Dodged a bullet and hit by an avalanche
Well today was interesting... I found out that a coworker in a different office is leaving and the division has decided not to hire anyone to replace him. It turns out they were looking reduce the number of employees in our offices anyway so I probably avoided getting laid off by his voluntary departure. The bad news is I have been assigned to take over his job... while keeping full responsibilities for mine. So basically I now have two jobs but I only have the time and pay for one. Extra work for no extra compensation hooray! I will be applying for other jobs now thank you.
