Sunday Fun

Pepe and I went to San Francisco on Sunday in an unusual turn of events. We just don't get out much usually. Anyhow, we went to see the new Academy of Sciences but the line was crazy and the price was high so we settled for the de Young Museum across from it in Golden Gate park. This was no bad consolation prize by any means. The museum was very nice and I got in free due to a promotion from my bank. It was all new to Pepe and I had been to the new building once before. I remember being very disappointed at the plain looking model when it was being built, but the only boring angle is from from above. The museum structure is awesome from every other angle, inside and out. The exibits are pretty cool too. My favorite was the Gothic cathedral built entirely from deconstructed guns and ammunition, with some glass and human body parts thrown in for good measure. In the evening we went to eat at Tommy's Joynt before heading home. The reasonably good food and awesome heavily decorated surroundings of the hof-brou make it a favorite destination.
