Fun Weekend
I had a pretty darn good weekend! Friday I was dead tired but went to the Duke which is a local English pub a few furs meet at every Friday. I had some excellent Blackthorn Dry Apple Cider while talking to Futcion and a few others.
Saturday I slept in and spent the early afternoon washing my car in the hot afternoon sun. I wasn't able to do a very good job because it was too hot but it was at least much better than before. I went to a small VW meet which was scheduled around 7 pm so there wasn't much light for people to see the imperfect job anyway. The meet unfortunately was small and pretty lame with no old school VWs at all. No one there even admitted to setting the meet up even though a rather professionally made flyer was posted on several forums. Anyhow, after a while I continued up 880 to Yelang's birthday party.
Wow that was a good party! There were many more people than I expected and the general atmosphere was great! Yelang's place is pretty good for parties and Pepe brought his just fixed DJ equipment there. I got to fursuit a while which was pretty fun. There were a lot of other people there and a few other fursuits. I'm not wearing my cold packs anymore as I am not really any less comfortable without them and I can't find the vest anyway. After suiting and having several drinks I feel asleep on the couch and only woke up around 4:00 am to drive home.
Today started late as well, getting up around noon and generally laying around relaxing. Trey was nice enough to invite us over to try his experimental Mole which was quite good and different from what I had tried before. I also got to try Schezuan pepercorns mixed with chocolate and salt. It was a most unique experience with good flavors and a nice tingling effect that made me giggle uncontrolably the first time I tired it! Later we went to the pool and hot tub and had a good time relaxing and swimming around with Tsyoto and Rufus also.
The evening was capped off with a BBQ at Kiff's where I had some really good steak. I am not sure who really made it but it was very tasty. Finally me and Pepe went home and relaxed, watching a somewhat disturbing but interesting show on TV that is showing a lot of stuff about 9/11 I never saw before. Anyhow... good weekend!
