when i first came back to Rocky, i said to myself when it stops being fun is when i'll stop.
saturday was the furthest thing from fun.
i don't really mind doing tech, it has to be done. i was just beyond tired and in a really shitty miserable mood to begin with and i really wanted to call out, but figured i'd get bitched at for calling out right before a show and for screwing over the others doing tech. we always need as many hands as we can get to do tech.
so you know..whatever..i'll just go and do it and get it over with.
i had left the makeup case in the car from last time and for some reason i brought the entire suitcase of costumey stuffs instead of just taking out the space costume for Rob (if he needed it). i keep forgetting we've got spare space costumes at the montclair theater.
glad i brought everything though, Rob was a no-show (we didn't know that when Dani took the night off, he would be doing it too lol). so i (begrudgingly) filled in. i really wasn't in the mood to perform. i wasn't really in the mood for tech either. i just wanted to stay home, be anti-social and piss away my night.
the show was fine, ALWAYS a good time when Liz is my Magenta, saw Sandy's "pretty pretty face", and get to just hang with the people i really like. though it was one of the weirdest audiences we've ever had in montclair. it was unnaturally topless. scrawny boys without shirts.
odd.
i don't think i want to quit/retire/whatever just yet. i'm just less enthusiastic about Rocky these days than i have been. at least there's the halloween shows to look forward to. i also want to look into material for a really good Cosmo McKinley costume. i probably won't get the part for Larry-con and that's cool, but i just want a Cosmo costume regardless. it's the one part i've always wanted to play but never have. be nice to have a costume if it ever comes up.
what was the point of this blog?
i don't remember.
oh yeah, STAY OUT OF MY BOOZE!
