Jor-El stands.
The wind whips around him and his eyes are wide open. He has a pair of heavy lensed glasses on and his sight is somewhat tinged off-white, but he is smiling. After days of struggle, with the assistance of the visor device, he can now open his eyes and see, most of the time, normally. And the wind, whipping past him, feels amazing.
He looks out across the back area of Milliways, at trees and fields, at lake and the Bar and laughs, as wind whips around him, and above him and below him.
He stands, in mid-air and watches everything, a small smile on his face. It may take him years to learn how to make this completely work under his control, but if this is the pay-off, then he will do it. No matter what it takes.
He grins and then nods and dips towards the ground, which rapidly becomes an uncontrolled descent. With a strangled yell, he crashes into a small pine tree, demolishing it, and a small crater is formed, twice, by his bouncing body.
When he comes to rest, he blinks, then begins to laugh.
How very intriguing!
jor-el,
