Which reminds me that I still have a movie to watch..... *hides in shame* bad fangirl that I am.

But...the ears, the look, the hair...the fake injury just makes me want to hug him and tell him everything will be alright.

I couldn't watch the whole thing, I just couldn't. I bought the DVD (I have a region free DVD player cuz the film isn't available in the US) and got at least halfway through and then I couldn't watch it when things started to go bad for Cathal. I'm very triggery and even though I know what happens, I still couldn't watch it!!

He was fantastic in the parts I could watch though, and sooo different from his Merlin character it was fun to watch...till it wasn't.

I did watch and love Island though (I'd already read the book and loved it to and Colin was perfect in that role). I sure hope he does more movies in the future!

Got Island on my to-watch list, too. I'm just so much in trouble with the accent he does there.

Not being a native speaker makes it difficult to understand people with strong accents or dialects. :)

Ah, don't worry about it. Even Bradley James couldn't understand Colin when he first started speaking with him in his native Northern Irish accent...and Bradley's supposed to be a native speaker ;-) Frankly, I melt into a pool of goo for a good, strong Scottish, Irish (esp. the Northern Irish) or Northern English accent.

I know a lot of people who are native speakers of English who can't understand someone else speaking English in a strong regional accent.

The movie's worth watching more than once so if you don't catch all the dialogue the first few times, you'll eventually get it ;-)

Oh, I can happily just stare at Colin for an hour and a half, no issues with that at all :D

Yep, Irish or Scottish accent will do it for me everytime, (didn't marry one though, bummer, athough he does have an accent) I believe in some English people have trouble with shows like Taggert!

Hah! The thicker the accent the more turned on I get so...yeah, I have no problem with Taggert though I've only seen bits and pieces of it :D

That is exactly what I did!
I have watched Island and Parked many times,to find out what Colin was saying, and after that, again more!
I think Colin is really a different actor. He is so talented, and he know how to use it.He really pays everything for the role.I can't remember if I have seen someone like him before.

What I love about him is how completely different he is in each role. That is the mark of a truly good actor, when you forget you're watching Colin Morgan and only see Cathal or Callum or Merlin (or Jethro or even John Leary ;-) instead. Like I said, I hope he keeps making movies because if he decides to stick to theater, I won't get to see him anymore :-( or at least hardly at all.
