New / old BTS 'Merlin' photos from 2011 (S4)
Dale McCready was the Director of Photography (DOP) on Merlin from 2008-2012. In April 2020 she released some BTS photos from this time. Source: dalemccready.com/merlinarchive. We were a real family that grew over the years and that time and the people I got to work with meant so much to me. The following photographs were all taken as I worked in my capacity as a cinematographer, as an aid and record of my own work. They’re not official shots and so shouldn’t be considered as such. But I felt it was well past time to release these photos out into the wild for you to enjoy.

As Uther begins to fade Arthur must step up to become King. Eagle eyed fans will notice a different haircut for Bradley here. We shot for a week early on in this season with this longer hair to show his character progression, and then decided it just didn’t feel like the Arthur we knew. What do you think? I think it looks really good now years later.
