Braley's new series, Damien is moving networks, from Lifetime to A&E. It has also been increased from 6 episodes to 10. The story has been picked up by a number of outlets, including those below. More information can be read at the following links. Excerpts below.

Variety:  “Damien,” the series sequel to 1976 horror hit “The Omen,” is decamping from Lifetime to A&E Network, which has ordered another four episodes of the drama steered by “The Walking Dead” alum Glen Mazzara. “We are thrilled with what we’ve seen so far and know that Glen and the creative team have even more story to tell in season one.”   Lifetime gave the project a straight-to-series order last August. The additional four episodes brings the season one order to 10. “Damien” is eyed for debut next year.

Deadline: “A&E’s unwavering commitment to high quality original scripted drama programming, coupled with the sizable fan-base for our hit series ‘Bates Motel,’ which so perfectly aligns with ‘Damien,’ make the network the ideal fit for this exceptional show,” said Sharenow. Hollywood Reporter: In an executive suite interview with THR two weeks ago, Sharenow hinted at the reasoning behind Damien's move to A&E, saying that "Lifetime will always be female-focused, and A&E is more male skewing. Plus, A&E is a more intense drama brand ... But in both instances, I'm really just trying to set the quality bar higher."

The Wrap: / My Informs:  “We are thrilled with what we’ve seen so far and know that Glen and the creative team have even more story to tell in Season 1.”

TV By The Numbers: The Executive Vice President and General Manager of both networks, Rob Sharenow, made the switch because he believes the series will appeal to both men and women.

TV Line: The hour-long drama - described as a follow-up to the classic horror film The Omen - was ordered last summer for a six-episode first season at sister channel Lifetime. In its move to A&E, Damien is getting pumped up to 10 episodes.  A&E’s logline for the series, which has cast Bradley James (Merlin, Homeland) in the titular role, is as follows: “Damien follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the 1976 motion picture who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny - that he is the Antichrist

Dread Central In his TV directing debut, Shekhar Kapur (Elizabeth) will helm and executive produce the first episode. “Merlin” star Bradley James (pictured) has landed the title role.
