MOST of those people did not become poor & impoverished overnight. Sadly, they've probably struggled for most of their lives, not just the last 10 years. When Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr and Clinton were in office, I'm sure many of those people were poor. State & local governement play just as big (if not bigger) of a role in the economics of its people. I can't blame the federal government for closing local libraries, laying off county workers, nor for the fact that most of the federal aid NYS is given goes right to NY City and not our city.
I'm not saying I'm happy that people have to live poorly, but I am saying that the blame can't fall on one single person. . ..Nor should the blame need to fall on anyone. It is a natural disaster of epic perportions that no one has ever seen. There's no book, or instruction manual, telling people how to figure this one out.
For a guy like Michael Moore to sit there and criticize makes me sick. He's 'well to do' as well, yet I didn't/don't see him out helping those people. He's taken this awful opportunity to try and divide our country even further.
