So tonight whist I was wrapping presents I saw a commercial for this new show coming in January, called Emily's Reasons Why Not and then it suddenly hit me. I'm reading that book! Totally weird because I know for a fact I've seen these commercials before. Before I got the book from the library, but I know that isn't why I got it because I didn't even know of the connection till just tonight.
The book is pretty good. Funny really. And even a little sad, at least at this one part...Anyway I had no desire to watch the show but now I might check it out since I'll have read the book. I mean I have always loved reading books that are movies, or T.V. shows.
Like today I just watched "Where the Heart is" on Lifetime. I had seen it before but the book is still one of my favorite books. The movie isn't the best, its just ok compared to the book.
Anyway just for the record, the book is called emily's reasons why not (written like that also with no caps) and the author is Carrie Gerlach. I haven't read anything by this author, and its not published by one of my favorite publishers, so I'm not exactly sure what drew me to the book. It may have been on the new books shelf accidentally but its not new (I used to work there so I know how they know if its new, and the date stamp says Jun. 29 2004. They usually put books from 3 months previous to the date...)
I'm not sure my vision of Emily is the same as the T.V. shows though. She's played by Heather Graham, not that I don't like her...she's ok. But she's blonde, and she has curly hair, neither or which I have pictured Emily with in my visions of what is happening in the book.
Wow I've rambled a lot about something completely silly. But still weird.
