[Hymn #68] ~Staccato~

[Private; hackable to friends.]

((OOC: Response to this lovely conversation. I-I'm sorry! XD))

What a truly detestable person.
It's my job to assist civillians, regardless of how unpleasant they may seem, and yet I've never run into one before that was so... entirely unmanageable. It's as if he behaves that way on purpose. Why would anyone? ( Read more... )

luke, shopping?, tear is not happy, nall, tear is stuffy, april 1, venting, unmanageable civillians are not cool, painting easter eggs, soldier mode, re:nathan, guts, jaime, needs more training, easter

What kind of tradition are we talking about here?

... [Awkward.]

Painting eggs.

Painting eggs?

Yes.

...well, naturally you have to boil them first so they'll harden, but that's the basic principle.

I think it had something to do with a rabbit. The whole holiday and its traditions, from what I've heard about them, sound rather convoluted. I'm not sure my sources had their facts straight, either.

...What do colored eggs have to do with rabbits?

Honestly, I don't know.

I'd prefer not quoting people on subjects I don't completely understand myself.

Perhaps they're both symbols.

Maybe. Still seems weird, though.

Well, think of it this way: How many things do cheagles and tuning forks have in common?

And yet they are both important symbols to the Order of Lorelei.

...I've heard weirder.

...Good point.

...there is one other story I've heard about in regards to Easter.

Supposedly there was a god who sent his son to live among and teach humans in an attempt to lead them to salvation.

But the people doubted his identity despite the many miracles he performed and they later betrayed him. In the end, the son was falsely accused and slain on a cross in order to save the world from its sins.

The story goes on to suggest that he overcame death by rising three days later and ascending to heaven to be with his father.

...

[Luke has been struck speechless. He can't possibly think of something appropriate to say in response to that.]

...

[Searches for a change of topic.]

So... about your training.

[/Fail.]

How much control would you say you have over your hyperresonance at this point? Have you ever tried erasing shapes or symbols out of a solid object before?

...Huh? Oh, uh. Not like that. I have erased parts of stuff before, though.

...If I marked a circle in the ground, do you think you'd be able to trace it?

Yeah, I think I probably can.

[Already knows he can. With enough practice.]

Good. ...I think you should probably try it.

It would most likely be best to start with exercises, though. If you can learn to open your fon slots slowly, one at a time, I think you'd find that you can control them and moderate your power more easily.

Be sure to eat something before you show up for training. You'll need the extra energy.

[IDK who died and made her boss.]
