Cursed Princess Yuu is the daughter/son of king Tiedoll. Her drunk and mostly useless fairy-godparent Cross cursed her at birth, for her well being. Supposedly. She is only female on rare days, and when kissed by her true love. And only while their lips are touching. And until her marriage to prince charming? She's doomed to be male. This, tempered with her attitude, has caused finding prince charming to be a hell of a lot harder than expected. But according to Cross and Tiedoll, this is for her own good. If her prince can learn to love her despite being often male and all of the time cursed, then they're worthy to love her as a woman.
Kanda is in the dressing-room with a purpose, as part of Cross's plans. That's what he said, anyway. She/he believes that she will find her true love here, break the curse, and live happily ever after.
Hopefully prince charming can put up with her/his temper.

Kanda sees himself as female, no matter what the form.
Kanda does want to find true love, even if his attitude is usually unpleasant.
Most characters will be recognized as rival kingdom's princes, princesses and other nobility.
Tiedoll's other apprentices are his siblings in this AU.
He doesn't like being called Yuu casually. It represents something important to him, so only his prince can really call him that.
In true bad-fairy tale fashion, woodland creatures follow him around.
