♪ The Estonian Music post #1
So some time ago I expressed my toughts on wanting to do a Estonian music post, just to share some music and give people who are interested an idea on whats going on here.
Ofcource this is sort of a one side post because I myself am not that big of a Estonian music fan. Mostly meaning that i just don't own the albums but glad to see them in consert...occasionally. The estonian music i love to listnen to is in estonian, ive managed to get one in english.
Still since I don't really own some of this stuff you will have to be satisfyed with youtube links.... glad to have atleast youtube.

i also have couple of lines from the song, i don't bother with estonian lines just translate them into english as good as i was able to.

Somnambuul (indie, folk)
something i discover more then a year ago but they are nolonger active as a band but still so pretty.
1. Õunad/Apples (youtube - estonian) it's such a pretty song, i just adore it.
♪ your eyes are full of sun and light | and your heart is full of the beginning of the evening | and you yourself look from somewhere distant | and you don't know whats to come
2. Hing/Soul (download - estonian) ignore the weird beginning i think it's recorded from a live show

Indigolapsed (indie, folk)
this band came out of Somnambuul, so yeah some of the band members are from somnambuul, they just released their first album and it's very pretty.
1. Karge meele igavene sära/ Eternan sunshine of the Spotless mind (download - estonian)
♪ the guardian angel is on the dewy ground | barefood she runs trough the hail | just until she grows back her wings
2. Seebimullibeebi / the soapbubble baby (download - estonian)
♪ im like the soapbubble baby who swallowed a little pink soap .../ ...im like a little childs tear that fell beneath the rasberrys | im like a little ball of dust broken and nonbeing | im like a small happy soapubble without pain and home

Genialistid (rock)
now this band deserves my complete love. ive been to so many of their concerts that i cant even count anymore. Their fun, their pretty, energetic and silly. Theyve done an entire sountrack for a movie, and theyve redone know childrens songs with style.... theyve made a lot of their own stuff. Some people don't like them at all others lime me love them...if you first think oh god i dont like this new song of theirs soon enough youve changed your mind. Best be heard in live concert.
1. Leekiv armastus/ Burning love (youtube - estonian) this is the lead song from the movie soundtrack they did, featuring Blacky another estonian artist. Video clips from the movie.
♪ i don't hit you because only i know what really hurts you | you don't believe me, how i can see inside you | and this is good? | i can be next to you all day,i can call from the mall | we can tangle at the end of the world, we can talk about meaningless things (...ohh i just do no justice when trying to translate this one)

Dagö (folk, rock)
i love this one. brillian tunes. sometimes the lyrics are a bit odd and funny if you stop and listnen but the songs are still just pretty.
1. Kuula, Kuula / Listnen, Listnen (download - estonian)
♪ when the wishes are clear and the goals are strong | look at the morning, what a wonderfull day | and the toughts are all so clear this morning wont go to waste
2. Tuuletallajad / The windtrampers (download - estonian)
♪ and then kiss like crazy | everything that has come to mind | in this sky here turn to truth | the journey of my dreams will onece come true, once come true
3. Muusik/Mucisian (download - estonian)
♪ outside the trees whisper you good morning | you didnt kiss the moon instead some mucisian | the paint chips down from the bathroom | purple haunch from the barstool | down the drain with the flow goes the hope to find a prince

he's been around a long time and even tough im not that fond of him personally i have to admit the man's talented.
1. Hoplesness you (youtube - english) video is bit odd but the song is good)
♪ one happy day | when everything changed | hoping to see | that bliss comes to me | living the dream | that dream that left me
2. Võta aega / take time(youtube -estonian) someone has done a fan video with this song so mind the vidieo :P hehe but i personally quite like this song so i tought i should really share it)
♪ Take some time to look around | it's not late, theres time to live | open your eyes think with your head, you will see | find joy from the power of being alive
