After looking at the my last corset. I did some minor work to the pattern. (I took 2 inches off the top, 5 inches off at the waist and after examining pictures of the Pfal Dorothea corset and Effigy corset, eliminated the front hip tabs). I also made and put in a wooden busk in this version. Here is the end result... It looks much better.
Front view with the busk installed (a slightly tapered wooden stiffener)
Side view. The holes at the bottom are (or will be) to tie a farthingale (hoopskirt) to
back view. I didn't want to lace it fully closed yet, as the fabric and boning are not yet broken in. Over all, I am much happier with this one than the previous elizabethan. I will post pictures of the rest of the underpinnings and the whole ensemble as they are completed.
