I went in to one of the goodwill stores today, and they have an industrial sewing machine (that sells used on craigslist for between $400 and $800). They wanted $79 for it. They also had an industrial serger (used on craigslist for $800 to over $1000) they wanted $99 for it.

I would have bought both and sold the sewing machine, and the profit would have paid for them both....the only problem is that my truck is STILL being worked on. Maybe if they still have it after I get it back and sell all the copper tubing I have to the scrap yard I'll pick them up.

(Long story there) Basically, I had stock size wheels and tires put on it, and when they went to pull the lift kit off, the previous owner had decided to take it upon himself to take EVERYTHING that had been replaced and weld it into place. In theory this sounds like it would be a good idea.... That is until you decide to try to remove, change or otherwise alter the work that had been done to it. In order to get the truck back to stock, they had to cut out everything that had been put on, and grind, then in one case, weld a mounting plate back on... (it had been removed to put the brush guard on.) All in all, this truck has become more of a headache than it is worth...but I've been saying that for a while....

They finally got the lift off of it, and it can go into the alignment shop now.
