At the moment, evidence suggests it doesn't matter if the links are in public or locked posts. But there's no way to be 100% sure, as LJ doesn't usually let users know about development updates, and we can only try to figure things out ourselves. If true, this means that this new method they're using analyzes locked posts as well, which is extremely worrying by itself.
i didn't know about this... so that means a lot of communities are in the brink of suspension?? oh no.. this is bad for everyone. even for LJ coz they will lose subscribers
this is sad. i've been in the arashi fandom for almost 10 years and livejournal has always been the 'home' of international fans like me. :( i am currently importing my files to DW. thank you so much for sharing the importer tool. that saved me a lot of trouble in googling how. :)

What kind of links are these accounts getting suspended for? Are they just links out to web sites and such? :\ This is kinda scary, to be honest, I post links everywhere :|
Sigh, this is so messed up :( Well, thank you so much for this post, I'm not a member, but a friend linked this post from one of her entries. This is honestly scary for me because I have my entire life on here.. AND paid time!
