Tonight Jen and I went to see James Frey do an interview, reading and book signing. It was pretty cool. The questions asked to him seemed well planned and he answered them in a very clear and composed way. I was a little concerned that the audience Q&A portion of the evening would end up being a lot of people asking him stuff about the Oprah controversy, but NO ONE asked anything about it. Instead they asked really interesting things like, if he would let his daughter read his books and how he would explain some of his experiences to her if she asked, and why, if he liked L.A. (the subject of his new book) so much did he move to New York? He seemed incredibly calm and exuded a live-and-let-live sort of attitude which I really admire. Plus, he complimented us when he signed our books, so what's not to like? :P
