Oof.
I'm tired but I felt like posting a quick update just to say that things are good.
The first few days of this week were un-busy and terribly boring. Tuesday night I got a call from Mike, a financial planner who's kids I used to babysit. He wanted to know if I would help him with his annual mass-mailing. Not having anything better to do and knowing it'd probably pay pretty decently, I accepted. Stuffing envolopes is boring but I got to watch TV while I did it and was fed yummy food. Plus the money thing, which is always nice. I got to ask Mike some questions about Jen moving here as well. He didn't really have any answers, but he offered to help us out when we're ready to start the immigration process. I thought that was pretty thoughtful of him. He's a nice guy.
Thursday and Friday I worked at my private schools. I found out today that the one school is going to be hiring at least two new teachers for next year! I'm going to talk to the principal next time I'm in. I bet I would stand a pretty good chance of getting a job there. They seem to like me well enough.
This weekend I'll be working on my course and my application for the public school board. I'm going to go out with Heather tomorrow night. I might also go out with Eric if we're ever able to finialize plans. It'll go fast. I'm going to be busy. But as I said to someone earlier this week, I rather be too busy than not busy enough.
Today was my four year "anniversary" with Jen. We had a really good talk tonight, the first one in a while actually, our converstations have felt rushed as of late, but yeah, we just talked and laughed. It was nice. I wish we could be together, but she'll be here in a couple weeks, so I guess I'll just have to wait until then.
I'm going to be getting to see a lot of live music. Friday I'm going to go to see Madviolet and Ember Swift with Heather and Meagan should be there too. :) Then I think Jen and I will go check out Kate Maki in February, followed by a bunch of Tegan and Sara. And then in April, ANI DIFRANCO! I really love her new album and am excited to see her live again, even her past few shows that I've been to have been a little lack-luster. I got seventh row centre tickets for me, my sister, her boyfriend, my neighbour, her dad and her best friend. It should be fun. I also applied to streetrep, if I get those ticket I'll probably pass them along to Heather and Seth or Anita.
Anita has been next to impossible to get in touch with. She was supposed to call when she arrived on Wednesday but sent me a PM instead. Sounds like everything is okay, she's just super-busy getting everything settled and trying to set up her life here. My guess is I'll hear from her next week when things have calmed down a little bit.
Street Teaming for T&S is turning into a bit of a nightmare... again. Actually, the only problem this time is that I haven't been able to get in touch with the people at House Of Blues about picking up the promo stuff. Hopefully it'll get sorted out. I'm a little concerned though because I haven't bought tickets to the second Toronto date and don't want to be waiting for this to get worked out and have the show sell out if I don't get on the Guestlist (for Street Teaming). Oh well, I guess we'll see what happens.
I hate to end things on a sour note, but it really isn't *that* sour. And I'm tired. It's time for bed. Goodnight everyone.
