I have been so busy this week. What I'd really like to do right now is put on some cozy pajamas and watch a video, but unfortunately that's not an option for tonight.

My friend Seth is turing 30, so I'm going to his birthday party. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I love Seth dearly, but parties at bars are not really my thing. Plus I'm pretty sure the only other person I'll know who's there is my brother. Oh well. I really shouldn't be so gloomy about this, I'm sure I'll end up having a good time.

Last night I went out with Heather. It was her birthday earlier this week, and also I hadn't seen her for a while, so we were due for seeing each other. She seemed to be in fairly good spirits. She just started dating a new girl (Steph) this week and seemed quite smitten. I'm really happy for her. The last relationship she was in ended on a somewhat sour note, and she was hesitant to start seeing someone again for quite a while. I gave her her Birthday/Christmas presents... a pair of Fiskars scissors, a fancy bookmark, and a bottle of Calcium Magnesium (she has Osteoperosis -so this is a good thing for her. I don't give most people vitamins as gifts). She seemed to like everything. She wants to get together again before Christmas because she's still making presents and wants to give mine to me before I go to PA. Maybe I'll suggest going to her house and watching a DVD or something.

After seeing Heather I stopped by Nana's. I was only going to stay for a short while, but then the boys (my cousins Paul and Matthew) came over so I ended up not leaving until about midnight. After supply teaching all day and then seeing Heather, by the time I was home I was ready to crash.

Supply teaching went okay. It was kind of a wild class, but nothing unmanageable. I was glad to be called in. #1. Because I can definitely use the extra income and #2. Because they seem to be calling me in on a pretty regular basis which is definitely a good thing. I REALLY hope they have a job opening next year. I think that they like me well enough that I would stand a pretty good chance of getting it.

On Thursday The York School (where I worked last year) called me in for the first time to supply teach. I had pretty much given up on them, so that was definitely a nice surprise. I hope they start calling me regularly in the new year. It'd be really great if I could get even 2 or 3 days a week of supply work. I actually think I am going to call some of the other schools I interviewed with back at the end of the summer and "remind" them that I am still available. That might make it so that I don't have to look for a different job. Otherwise I'll probably have to give up the supply work and find something full time, since my big tutoring job with Kick ends mid-January when he takes his test to get into UCC (a very reputable boy's school in Toronto).

I can't even remember what I was doing before Thursday this week, things have been so busy the past few days. I'm pretty sure I was just keeping busy with babysitting Celeste and Mimi and tutoring Kick. Oh, and doing drawings for Lynn, which I still need to finish up. She asked that I do some sketches of the animals for her to use as activity sheets for her preschool class. So far they're going fairly well except for the hermit crab. God those things are hard to draw. I might just tell her I can't do it... I've made three attempts so far and none of them look decent.

Not sure what I'm going to have going on this week, I'll have to wait and see how it plays out. I know Carol (who's wedding I went to a few weeks ago) is having a holiday gettogether on Friday that I plan on going to. Next Saturday is the Irish Coral Society's Christmas concert, which I promissed Karen I would help out with, but now wish I didn't have to since it's the same night as the TKPC Christmas party, which I would really like to go to. I only see my TKPC friends a couple times a year, and this is sort of the big deal party that we always have, so I'll be upset if I can't make it. Maybe I'll be able to do both. :/

Anyway, I'm sure you're all bored to death by now, so I'll stop there. ;) Hope everyone else's plans for the holidays are going well. :)
