This time, he does wince, despite all efforts not to. "I have healing materia," he offers. "I could give you a curaga and an esuna."

Concerned, his brow furrows. "Why not?"

"I suppose it would be easier to...simply show you." He doesn't look, but holds out a hand for one of the materia.

Taking it silently, he makes as if to cast the spell, but absolutely nothing happens.

Sephiroth raises an eyebrow in query. "Why?"

"If I knew, it would not happen." He hands the materia back.

Sephiroth attempts to cast Curaga on his alternate, but it fails. He blinks, frustrated. "Have you asked an Aerith for her help?"

Holding back a grimace, he simply nods again, looking away. "How serious are your injuries? How long will they take to heal?"
