...have been the last couple of weeks.

Thing at work, after hitting rock bottom have started getting slightly better. Although most of the damage is already done, I'm quite certain.

The Fête de Cinema this year has comrised so far of :

- I Don't Want to Sleep Alone: Here Tsang Ming-Liang finds in a love triange between 3 people who don't speak each other's language the premise for is eplistory minimalism. Unlike "Goodbye Dragon Inn", this time there is a more coherrent narrative and the characters are developped in more depth. (Seen at: Les 3 Luxembourgs, Odeon)

- Network : Sidney Lumet's satire about the network business seemed tame compared to the reality of the business today. Had some funny bits but the ending could have been more refined. (Seen at : Grand Action Ecoles, St. Michel)

- Syndromes and a Century : The new number by Weerasethakul looks at 2 similar stories which are linked - but while one is told as as nostalgia, set in rural thailand, the other is recounted as a more contemporary reconstruction (Seen at: MK2 Beaubourg, Beaubourg)
