Things You Should Know About Ireland that the Travel Brochures Leave Out
I feel like I learn more about this great country sititng in my living room surrounded by stoned Irish boys than I do on tours...today's topic of interest was the Travellers. (Like gypsies). You can call them Knackers (translation: scumbags), or Pavvies, and they have terrific bareknuckle fights. They move in their caravans every generation or so, and own houses in which they keep their animals.
Finally I left the smoking den and went upstairs to my room to breathe, and laugh and laugh....they get so earnest when they're smoking, and so funny.
Also, FYI, Irish people hate redheads (they call them gingers, and are way meaner to them than we are to blonds).
